Located astride the Sabine River in eastern Texas, Gregg County was formed in 1873 from neighboring Upshur and Rusk Counties. This database is a collection of federal census records for county residents in 1920. Taken from National Archives microfilm, it contains information regarding over 12,000 residents. Each record reveals the name of individual and location of residence. Additionally, race, sex, age, and marital information are provided. For researchers seeking ancestors from eastern Texas, this can be a helpful index.
