Bordering Kentucky in southwestern Indiana, Evansville has been an important community on the Ohio River for nearly two hundred years. This database is a transcription of five city directories originally published between 1888 and 1892. In addition to providing the resident's name, it provides information regarding their address and occupation. This collection includes the names of about 115,400 people, mostly heads of households.
