This database is an index to the 1903 Plat Book of Iosco County, Michigan. There are two parts to the database. The first section contains names that appear on the plat maps for cities, villages, and townships. The second section contains names that appear in the "Patrons and Farmers Directories." This latter section gives the individuals' names, their occupations, their post office addresses, and their residences by city or village; also, some prominent persons may have some family history shown as well. The asterisk that follows some names indicates that what is listed is the exact spelling of the name and the exact initials from the plat book, although sometimes it may not be the same as the spelling of adjacent names or may not look like the "regular" spelling. The original 1903 Plat Book of Iosco County, Michigan was published by The Consolidated Publishing Company, 610 Boston Block, Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1903.
