The western town of Peru, Massachusetts, was created in 1771 in the county of Berkshire. This database is an index to the federal censuses of town of Peru from 1790 to 1920, and contains the names of over 3100 persons. It provides the first and last name of the resident appearing in the census along with the page and line number of the source document from which the information was taken. Also provided, where available, is persons age at the time of the census and birthplace. For those researchers of Massachusetts ancestors, this can be a valuable database.
