Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts: Cemetery Inscriptions
Description (from source site) This databases includes all the inscriptions that were found in 1892, in that part of the cemetery in use before 1830. This cemetery was the only one used by the town of Rowley to 1702, when the burial ground in Byfield Parish was first used. The words and figures in brackets above each inscription indicate where the same may be found in the rows of stones on the east and west side of Central Avenue, entering from Main street. Thus [6 Row West 3] indicates the sixth row from the gate on the west side of Central Avenue and the third stone from the Avenue in that row.
