This large database is a condensed history of eastern Arkansas which also contains biographies of distinguished persons of that area of the state. It covers the time from the arrival of European explorers to about 1885. A wide range of information is contained within the work, including lists elected officials, genealogies, and the economic foundations of some communities. The biographies are rich in detail and are helpful in tracing lines of descent.
