Debra Graden extracted this database from the book "Minnesota in the Spanish American War and the Philippine Insurrection" by Franklin F. Holbrook, M. A. published by the Minnesota War Records Commission, Riverside Press, St. Paul, 1923. There are a total of 9,846 records which each include the Name, Unit, Company, Rank, Age (if given), Birthplace (if given), Residence, and Page Number (from original book). The additional information in the book is a description of his military service. Index also includes Army, Navy and Marine personnel as well as Minnesotans who served in other state units. All records marked with an (*) indicate that the person died while in the service.
