This helpful database is a collection of persons living in Nevada with addresses in 1862. Similar to a telephone listing, this work provides valuable information for nearly five thousand settlers in the state. This Directory contains listings of individuals living in the towns and outlying areas of Aurora, Carson City, Dayton, Empire, Genoa, Gold Hill, Silver City, Virginia City and Washoe. A listing of County and Federal Officials and their positions is also included. In addition to listing the person's name and residence, often occupation or place of work is listed. Also, businesses are included, along with owners or proprietors.
