Published in Virginia City, Nevada, the Territorial Enterprise is probably best known for employing Mark Twain as a journalist. Yet the newspaper printed more than just the colorful articles of this American icon. This database is a collection of notices of births, marriages, and deaths from the newspaper between 1886 and 1892. With nearly 4000 records, this collection includes information regarding parents, date of event, place of birth and death, county in which the event took place, and residence. Extracted from microfilm of the original newspaper, this database can be a great aid to uncovering information about Nevadan ancestors.
