South of scenic Lake Tahoe, in Nevada, the Walker River Valley Indian Reservation was home to nearly two thousand Native Americans around the turn of the century. This database is a collection of reservation census records between 1897 and 1901. Each entry reveals such information as name, sex, age, relationship to head of household, and year of census. Researchers will find valuable information regarding over 2500 residents. Taken from microfilmed records in the Nevada State Archives, this collection can be a helpful source of information for those seeking Native American ancestors who lived in western Nevada.
