Totowa, New Jersey Old Dutch Church Records, 1755-1827
Description (from source site)
The small town of Totowa, New Jersey is located in Passaic County, less than three miles from downtown Paterson and a short fifteen miles from New York City. Many town residents were members of the local Dutch Reformed Church. This database is a collection of records from the original parish register, written in Dutch. Many of the records are of baptisms in the parish between 1755 and 1827. Researchers will find the child's name, birth date, baptism date, names of parents, and names of witnesses. Other information provided includes names of members who donated to the building fund and lists of pew holders. The names are spelled as they appeared in the register. With the names of over 2500 persons, this can be an illuminating collection.
