New York City Deaths, 1814-16

One of the largest cities in the fledgling United States, New York City was home to tens of thousands in the early nineteenth century. Compiled from published city directories, this database is a listing of adult deaths in the city between 1 May 1814 and 1 June 1816. Each record, in addition to providing the decedent's name, includes the date of death and age. Providing the names of nearly 3000 persons, this database can be a helpful source of information to researchers of early New York City ancestors.
