New York City Wills, 1754-60

Description (from source site)
As the colonial era of British North America drew to a close in the 18th Century, New York City occupied the position as one of the most important cities on the continent. This database is a collection of will abstracts, originally published in the late 19th Century. As a multicultural city, there are wills for many residents of Dutch, Danish, and Swedish heritage, in addition to many for English residents. Covering the years 1754 to 1760, each record reveals valuable information regarding the individual, often including information about family members and witnesses to the will. With over 5000 records, this collection can be a valuable database for researchers of early New York residents.
