New York City Wills, 1760-66

Description (from source site)
As the colonial era of the English colonies drew to a close, New York City remained one of the most important ports in the hemisphere. Because of this position as a focal point for trade, information about city residents can reveal much regarding nearby colonies. This database is a collection of will abstracts for city residents, originally published in the late 19th Century, covering the years 1760 to 1766. Each record reveals valuable information about the individual, often regarding family members still living and witnesses to the will. With over 5000 records, this collection can be a valuable database for researchers of early New York residents.
