New York City Wills, 1780-82
Description (from source site)
As the American Revolutionary War drew to a close, New York City emerged as perhaps the single most important city in the fledgling nation. This database is a collection of will abstracts filed by city residents during the later war years of 1780 through 1782. With nearly 800 records, each entry reveals a wealth of information about the filing individual, often including names of family members and witnesses. Originally published in the late 19th Century, this collection can be of great value to researchers seeking information on city residents of the late 1700's.
