Formed in 1639 and located in eastern Massachusetts, the city of Taunton is part of Bristol County. This database is a transcription of city directories originally published in 1890, 1891, 1892 and 1893. In addition to providing the resident's name, it provides their address and occupational information. It includes over 42,100 names, mostly heads of households. For the researcher of ancestors from eastern Massachusetts, this can be an extremely valuable collection.
