Located in central Oklahoma, about forty miles north of Oklahoma City, Payne County was created in 1890 from the Cherokee Outlet. This database is a collection of federal census records from the county in 1920 and includes the names of nearly 18,000 residents. In addition to providing the individual's name, it contains information regarding race, sex, age, birthplace, and township of residence. In most entries, parent's birthplaces are also included. For researchers of central Oklahoma ancestors, this can be an informative and helpful collection.
