Philadelphia Quaker Arrivals, 1682-1750
Description (from source site)
Important members of the Philadelphia community throughout the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, Quakers occupied many of the social and political positions in the city. This database is a listing of Quakers who arrived in the city between 1682 and 1750. When a Quaker immigrated to the area, he or she would bring a certificate from their previous Quaker group. The certificate provided the member's name, previous residence, and reason for immigrating. With such helpful information, this collection can be a great aid to those persons seeking ancestors from early Philadelphia.
