Located in southern Virginia, the city of Danville is an independent city within the county Pittsylvania. This database is a transcription of city directories originally published in 1888, 1889, 1890 and 1892. In addition to providing the resident's name, it provides their address and occupational information. It includes over 22,600 names, mostly heads of households. For the researcher of ancestors from southern Virginia, this can be an extremely valuable collection.
