Located in northwestern Indiana, the city of Valparaiso is the county seat of Porter County. This database is a transcription of city directories originally published in 1885 and 1890. In addition to providing the residents' names, it provides their addresses and occupational information. The database includes more than 3,400 names, mostly heads of household.
