Senca County, Ohio was prosperous area consisting of 3,344 farms in an area of 550 square miles and is distinctly a farm county. More than 95% of the entire area of the county was in farm land and more than 83% was under cultivation. The farms were, as a rule, more than average size, less than 5% being under 10 acres. The farm population of Seneca County was almost exclusively native-born white. There were but few foreign, and only two negro farmers in the entire county. Included in this database are the townships of Adams, Big Spring, Bloom, Clinton, Eden, Hopewell, Jackson, Liberty, Loudon, Pleasant, Reed, Scipio, Seneca, Thompson and Vernice. This is an excellent resource for anyone doing genealogy research in the Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio area.
