Bordering Quebec in northern Vermont, the counties of Franklin and Grand Isle were home to over 34,000 people in 1880. This database is a business directory and gazetteer of both counties in 1882. It lists over 1300 businesses and employees. Each entry provides the resident's name, town, occupation and location of employment. Some records reveal the resident's age, and length of residence. For researchers of Vermont ancestors, this database can be a helpful source of important information.
