Bordering North Carolina in central Virginia, Henry County was created in 1777. Compiled from a volume in the North Carolina State Library in Raleigh, this database is a collection of marriage bonds from the county between 1765 and 1810. Researchers will find the names of both bride and groom, and date of marriage bond. Many records also reveal their place of residence. It provides the names of over 7600 men and women. For researchers of early Virginia ancestors, this can be an extremely illuminating database.
