Prince William County, Virginia, site of the Battle of Manassas, is a short twenty five miles from the nation's capital. Covering the years 1853-1877, this database is a collection of birth records from the county. Information provided includes the name of the child, race, father's name (or owner, if they were a slave), mother's name, and the page in the original registry on which the record appears. In addition, it includes a number of children still born or died at birth. With nearly 3500 names, this can be a helpful database for researchers of Virginian ancestors. Due to the Civil War, there are no records for 1860-1863.
