Bordering Wisconsin in southeastern Minnesota, Winona County boasted a population of over 33,000 in 1920. This database, now updated with the second of three parts, is a collection of census records for county residents in that year. Providing the names of over 21,000 individuals, it also contains information about the resident's sex, race, age, birthplace, and occupation. Additionally, year of immigration, town of residence, and parents' birthplaces are often provided. Reference information, such as enumeration district, page number in the original document, and family number, is also provided to aid the researcher in obtaining copies of the federal census. Taken from microfilm copies of the original census, this database can be a useful source of information for researchers of Minnesota ancestors.
