Growing up in nineteenth century Wisconsin, Clara Lenroot lived in and around the town of Hudson. This database is a collection of her reminiscences of being raised in the pioneer Midwest. Researchers will find descriptions of her personal experiences with local residents and typical life of a young girl. It also provides home remedies, songs, and food traditions with which she was familiar.
