Charles Peters, Autobiography, 1915

Description (from source site)
Shortly before his death, Charles Peters was believed to be the oldest living resident of California. This database contains his autobiography and was written in 1915, when he was over ninety years old. He draws his material from his own life and the lives of other gold miners who were his contemporaries. This intelligently written collection of stories and the pictures that accompany them provide a personal and often humorous sample of life in the early days of California.
