A resident of Wisconsin, Robert La Follette was an important player in the politics of this Midwestern state from his election as a district attorney in 1880 to his presidential campaign of 1912. This database is his autobiography published in 1913. In these writings La Follette traces his political life and accomplishments as a lawyer and politician. Researchers will find detailed descriptions of the political movements and currents in the Midwest before and after the turn of the twentieth century.
