This database is a collection of letters written by Hariet Harper, a Maine resident, while she vacationed on the West Coast. Researchers will find informative descriptions of her six-month visit to the state in 1888, including the areas of San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, San Diego, Tijuana and the San Pedro wineries.
