The town of Colchester lies in New London County, Connecticut. The Connecticut State Records at the Office of the Secretary of State contain much in relation to the troubles that the planters of Colchester experienced, and the difficulties they met with in establishing the boundaries of the township, and the opposition and perplexity they encountered with the natives of the area. This database also includes some vital records, proprietors' records, and extracts from the town records books. For those with ancestors in early Connecticut, this may be a helpful database.
