One of the oldest communities in the state, Hartford, Connecticut was home to nearly 100,000 residents shortly before the twentieth century. This database is a transcription of three city directories originally published between 1890 and 1892. In addition to providing the resident's name, it provides information regarding their address and occupation. This collection includes the names of over 100,700 people, mostly heads of households. For those seeking ancestors from Connecticut, this can be an extremely valuable source of information.
