One of the northern towns of Middlesex County, Connecticut, Middletown was home to about 10,000 people in 1890. This database is a collection of eight directories for the city originally published between 1882 and 1891. It is a listing of city residents in those years. In addition to providing the resident's name, it provides their address and occupational information. It includes the names of over 50,500 people, mostly heads of households. For the researcher of ancestors from central Connecticut this can be an extremely valuable collection.
