New England Captives' Stories
Description (from source site)
This database contains the true stories of individuals and families living in New England, who were taken captive and delivered to Canada during the old French and Indian Wars. Many of these captives were sheltered and protected by French Protestant nuns and priests, and later baptized with a new (French) name. Some of them remained in Canada, and some returned to their natural home.
