Among the largest newspapers in the greater Toronto area, the Toronto Star is arguably the most important news organization in Ontario. The database provides the birth and death date of the decedent and his or her city of residence. Additionally, it gives the names of survivors and an indication of whether the body was cremated. The database contains more than 98,500 names. *Note: This database contains material previously posted under the title Toronto Star, Obituaries, 1999.
