Kootenay East, North Riding Sub-District Census 1901 This sub-district takes us to the North Eastern portion of the Kootenay Mountain range in British Columbia Canada. Cities, villages and townships with in this database include: Athalmer, Columbia Valley, Field, Golden, Hector, Leauchoil, Moberly, Ottertail, Palliser, and Windermere. This database has over 1900 entries of residents in the census subdistrict of Kootenay East, North Riding (D) in the census district of Yale and Cariboo (5) in 1901. This database contains the first and last names, relationship to the head of the household, full date of birth, and birth place as well as the year of immigration to Canada (if not Canadian by birth) as written in the original records. The database also includes the National Archives film number, division number, page and family number to aid researchers in obtaining a copy of the actual record, if desired. This database will be of particular interest to researchers with British Columbian ancestors.
