Lillooet East & West Sub-District Census 1901 This sub-district takes its name from near by Lillooet village (1946) and Lillooet Lake. The city took its name from a Salish tribe which occupied the area to the west. The village records appear in Lillooet West. This East district contains the names and families directly east outside the town and down river. This database has over 1,700 records of residents in the census subdistrict of Lillooet East (B) in the census district of Yale and Cariboo (5) in 1901and in the census subdistrict of Lillooet West (C) in the census district of Yale and Cariboo (5) in 1901. This database contains the first and last names, relationship to the head of the household, full date of birth, and birth place as well as the year of immigration to Canada (if not Canadian by birth) as written in the original records. The database also includes the National Archives film number, division number, page and family number to aid researchers in obtaining a copy of the actual record, if desired. This database will be of particular interest to researchers with British Columbian ancestors.
