Located in eastern North Dakota, a short distance from the Minnesota border, the city of Grand Forks is the county seat of Grand Forks County. This database is a transcription of city directories originally published in 1889 and 1891. In addition to providing the resident's name, it provides their address and occupational information. It includes over 5,900 names, mostly heads of households. For the researcher of ancestors from eastern North Dakota, this can be an extremely valuable collection.
